Having a foot massage in a cottage at Mambukal Resort is just soooo relaxing...Photo by Boots.
While my brother was here, I commissioned him to take photos of the branches of The Blade Spa. He happily obliged because well, it was his first time, and he was just too happy to try out his new lens.
Anyway, after shooting The Blade at Mambukal, he proceeded to the Mambukal Butterfly Garden to shoot the area and the bugs. But instead of going with him, I opted to stay at The Blade at Mambukal and instead have a 30-minute foot massage.
It was heavenly. I had been pretty tired of walking long distances every day for the holidays that my feet needed a break. And the foot massage was the break I needed. I only had the 30-minute service because I thought that one hour was too long as we were running after time, but in the end, my brother stayed in the Butterfly Garden for about an hour! He enjoyed his photo shoot very much.
I love the fact that the place was not air-conditioned. Well you can just hear the voices of the people around and you can smell the aroma of the grilled pork from the people who are cooking their meals nearby, but I could also hear the rustle of the river and smell the sulfur of the dipping pool. It was so natural. And the air was quite nippy as this is a mountain resort, so it is a different ambiance that the air-conditioned spa that we city dwellers are so used to.
If ever I would go back to Mambukal, I will surely get another foot massageat The Blade.
